This one is kinda creepy!
Edgar Allan Poe wrote a short story in 1838, "The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket", in which three shipwreck survivors in an open boat kill and eat the fourth, a man named Richard Parker. In 1884, in the real world, three shipwreck survivors in an open boat killed and ate the fourth, whose name was Richard Parker.
See. Creepy, right?!

Ewwwww...just ewwwwww. that is so nasty! I can't imagine. How did he know? That is creepy as hell girl. Edgar Allan Poe would be one of the famous people in history I would LOVE to go back and meet. Maybe he was Psychic and no one knew. Crazy stuff!!!
I know! I have always LOVED Poe but I never knew this! I was like "omg gross...wth? How is that possible? How did he know the precise name?"
LOL anyways, I would love to go back in time and meet him as well! He has always been one of my favorite demented souls.

Is that for real? I need to go look that up. You know the Yann Martel book "Life of Pi"...I read this last year and it sounds as if it may be inspired by this story!
