Did you know that Dr.Seuss won a $50 bet with his publisher by writing this book using only 50 words. Forty-nine of them are one-syllable words (only "anywhere" extends into multi syllable range).
I love anything about Dr. Seuss. He's my favorite children's author. So here's my piece of trivia: He became Dr. Seuss after he was caught at a drinking party during the Prohibition era, which forced him to use a pseudonym to continue writing for Dartmouth’s paper.
I hear Green Eggs and Ham every day in the car, because my kids insists on the CD. It's done to the jazz beat of an upright bass, so it's a pretty funky rendition!
